 Improved MFD's in 1.09 |
MFD's
Last week, I recived a bunch of new screenshots, showing the new and improved MFD's. The pictures are taken in
different radar modes, and clearly shows some of the differences from earlier versions.
The first picture demonstrates the radar MFD in TWS mode with an AIM-120 selected. Notice that radar contacts are displayed with
hollow triangles instead of solid, thus making it easier to detect merged radar returns. The other MFD, the SMS provides waypoint
information through the waterline indicator and the vertical line intersecting it.
The information in both MFD's is accurate.
In picture number two, radar mode is changed to RWS. Track file on lead contact at 25,000 ft. Secondary contact is in a fighting
wing formation. The ASEC (large circle) repeats the missile DLZ. This contact has a good closure rate, and heading for
a missile shot.
Third picture. Target has turned to beam. Take a look at the ASEC. It is now a lot smaller indicating that taking a shot now is not a
very good idea.
The 4th pic, shows MLU (Mid Life Upgrade) MFD's.
The last pic is a comparison between the real thing, Falcon 4.0, and eFalcon 1.09.
The MFD displays in these pictures are accurate. The infomation is unclassified, but hard to find. Janes modeled these modes in Janes FA18.
